Destiny Seymour of Indigo Arrows, takes her inspiration from patterns found on the pottery collections and bone tools of her ancestors. The designs are intended to provoke thought, bridge gaps and inspire loved ones. This specific pattern is one of Destiny’s signature designs called Ishkoday. Ishkoday means ‘flint rock’ in Anishinaabemowin, having the arrows represent the triangular shape of the rock and signifies the element of fire.
