This special coat is much more than meets the eye. Upon first glance, the pattern appears as a classic leopard print. Within the spots, there is a hidden message of Cree syllabics that translate to miyo-pimatisiwin - 'the good life.' The first prototype of this coat originally debuted at Indigenous Fashion Week Toronto in November 2020 and FREED has now helped bring this concept to the masses. The coat is rocked by up and coming Indigenous/queer musician Nimkish.
